Have you ever observed the behavior of a person or spoken to a customer service representative and just shook your head in disbelief? You wonder how people make the choices they make or say the things they say as they interact with those around them.

You either laugh at the absurdity, or are   amazed by the choices they made. You say to yourself “If common sense was so common more people would have it”.

I’m not sure who to give credit to for this quote.  It does not originate with me. So if you know where it comes from, I’d love to hear it. Rarely does a day go by when I do not witness something that makes me utter this statement.

I’m not talking about heavy subjects like stem cell research, abortion, and immigration. These are fraught with moral and ethical complications that go beyond what I’m talking about or want to address. I’m speaking to the lighter everyday superficial experiences we have at grocery stores, on the telephone or in a department store.
